Who we are:
West 70 Photography is a company founded by Marcus Jones and Adam Jones. Award-winning experts of the wedding and media industry (and a married couple, too!). Their founding idea was simple: offer sensibly priced photography without fuss and not compromising on quality or service. This first started with just wedding photography in 2011 but soon branched out into studio portrait photography and corporate/event photography. Adam is the main photographer and face of the business while Marcus runs the business and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Our ethos:
We are independently owned and believe in giving our customers more than any of our competitors. We also believe in transparency – this means clear pricing that’s easy to understand without any catches. All of our pricing is available in full on our website, up front. No hidden costs or surprises. This applies to all the services we offer. Further to this we do not have any sales targets or use pushy tactics to pressure our customers into spending money on products/services they do not want. Our customers can pick whatever they want without any pressure or misdirection.
We believe in creating beautiful work without hassle – this means using our creativity to capture images in a stylish yet simplistic way. Another key factor we believe in is organisation, meaning we can make the most of the time spent photographing. We are making the wedding photography, studio portrait photography and event photography process simple and stress-free for our customers and we’re so thankful to everyone who chooses us for their photography needs.
How we do it:
You don’t have to pay a fortune for all of this. Our wedding pricing and studio portrait photography pricing is so affordable because you only have to pay for what you want and nothing more. You don’t have to break the bank – our pricing is very clear and our extras are all optional. You are in control and you can spend whatever you like, with no pressure. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for and how much it’ll cost. We’re upfront and honest with no hidden costs or surprises.
Our prices may be lower than others – why? We like being busy and we’re grateful to have wonderful customers who come back to us time and again, who recommend us confidently. Good photography also doesn’t have to be expensive. Our pricing shouldn’t be thought of as cheap, but instead more realistic, affordable and accessible. We believe quality photography should be available to everyone and for all budgets. Because we offer various types of photography (weddings, portrait studio, corporate, events) we can fill our diary and we’re not reliant on any one service as our only source of income. We also have a couple of shortcuts to help us keep our business expenses down, meaning we can charge less.
We have a wonderful shopfront studio which is open by appointment only. We are appointment only so we can continue to offer great value service and not be tied to fixed opening hours. By being appointment only it also allows us greater flexibility with appointment hours. We have an instant booking system which allows you to see our availability and book your perfect appointment online in seconds. You can also amend and manage your appointment easily, if needed. You can always contact us during normal business hours (see our contact info) and we’ll get back to you promptly. E-mail is usually the most direct way to reach us, but get in touch however you like. When calling us on the telephone you’ll likely be prompted to leave a message and we’ll call you back typically within 1 day. This is another small way we can simplify our process and keep costs down, savings which we then pass along to our customers and keep our pricing realistic. We want to make photography that everyone can make use of – no matter your budget.
The customer benefits:
We also strongly believe in your images being just that – yours. We provide a copyright permission with all our work so you can print and share your images however you want, for personal use. We don’t compress or watermark our images either, when we say they are your images we mean it – no funny business!
